After some ankle operations you will be given crutches to walk with during your recovery.
You will be shown how to use these in Hospital before your discharge.
Use of crutches is normally required for around a week but continue to use these as advised by your Surgeon.
Your outpatient Physiotherapist will work with you to wean you off crutches and get you back to walking normally without a limp at the appropriate time.
